Just a small update, you can now set a color value with to choose its color, rather then having it use your notice text color from your site's theme.

Examples:

[item]Wingblade

- standard, uses your site theme notice text color.

Wingblade
- will show the item in red text

Wingblade
- will show the item in blue text

Wingblade
- will show the item in yellow text

We added a new feature this morning, Guild Banks!

The idea behind a guild bank is that extra items will be accumulated by members while playing, and rather then getting rid of the items they are kept to help other members in the guild who would have use of them. We have tried to make our Guild Bank very simple and straight-forward, while still having some useful features.

The bank is available at http://yourguildsite/bank, you can enable it as a navigation menu item, and there is also a bank block available in the Layout tab of the Admin Panel.

Features
View Permissions: User+ permission level is required to view the bank, with the idea being a guild with a lot of items in their bank wouldn't want recruits based on that; so no anonymous viewing of the bank, you must be logged in.

Item Permissions: Super Admin+ [or optionally Admin+ if you set it] are the only ones that can add items and assign buyers

User Permissions: Logged in Users can view the bank, and can request items by clicking the 'Ask For' icon next to an item.

Points System: The bank supports a points system where items that are donated and bought can have a value assigned, designed to help promote fairness. Its entirely optional to use.

*Note: if you have any suggestions or improvements for the bank, do let us know =)

We now support custom domain names for your Guild site!

Using a custom domain name is very easy, just set the radio button to custom domain in your Guild Settings tab and enter your domain name.

Regular MMO Guildsites Subdomain:

Custom Domain Name:

If you choose to use a Custom Domain name you must own a Domain Name at a Domain Registrar. From your Domain Registrar's control panel you must set your Domain DNS entry to point to our servers IP Address [which is displayed by mousing over the green help icon next to the custom domain field].

*Note: We are not currently supporting Domain Names which require use of our name servers, so your Domain Registrar must allow you to change where your Domain Name points while on their nameservers [Most Domain Registrars allow this]

We have updated the Members page for each guild site to include a new feature for Administrators. Administrator+ members will now see a "Deleted Accounts" link, allowing you to view accounts which have been removed from your guild.

From this page you can re-invite members to your guild, or you can Permanently delete them. Permanently deleting members will destroy their account and all data on your site [forum posts, shouts, poll votes, etc... everything!]

Administrator+ members can also now delete Shouts and Polls which have been closed, from the Shouts and Polls pages respectively.

We've had a few guilds now re-form on our service, and now you should be able to delete all of the content on your site to start clean. The easiest way to do this is to Permanently delete each of your members, which will destroy all of their content throughout your site; then you can just pick and choose which of your own content you wish to remove.

We've added a new feature to the site, a Google Map! The Google Map will show the location for each of your members, giving you a quick overview of where everyone from your guild is located.

Here's how it works:

Head on over to http://www.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html and enter your guilds url into the "My web site URL:" field. ie. http://enmity.mmoguildsites.net

Once you enter it you will be taken to the next page, and right at the top it will say:

Your key is:

Followed by a long string of random characters (your key)

Copy this key and go to the Guild Settings tab of your Admin Panel and enter it in the Google Maps Key Field.

Save your settings then go to /google_map at your guilds url. ie http://enmity.mmoguildsites.net/google_map

As soon as members fill out their Country, State and City they will be shown on the map! =)

Once you enter a Google Maps key, a "View Location Map" link will be visible on your accounts page.

*Note: If you change your domain name you will have to get a new key for it.

We've updated the site to allow you to create custom HTML pages for your guild site.

These pages can be used to display any info you wish, can include iframes to show content from other sites or any other use you can come up with. The only unallowed tags are <script> and <form>.

These pages can be easily included in your main navigation as well by entering the page's URL as the navigation item's URL in the navigation tab.

We've also added an HTML block you can add to both your home page and the side columns which follows the same rules.

We've added a new block that shows the server status for the Europe World of Warcraft servers.

This block functions differently then the US WoW server status block as their is no XML feed for the Europe servers, so it is added as a new block called "EU Server Status", however it still looks the same on your site.

Based on a user suggestion we've updated the News Topic block to allow you to choose to show either the post summaries [default] or the full posts.

Thanks Aviarel! =)

The main site, www.mmoguildsites.com, received a large update today which changed the look of the entire site and added a few new features.

The most notable updates are to the Community section, which now has profiles for guilds and shows several stats. Personal profiles also got more stats, including showing some related guild members.

The Admin Panel received a good amount of polish, and some pages such as the Layout tab look and function better now.

Over the site's width was increased some and there is always a right sidebar which shows information now on every page.

Note: Unfortunately while performing this upgrade we ran into some problems which caused some server issues on Sunday Jan 28th. Everything is now resolved; sorry to everyone who this may have caused a disruption for.

We've made an update to the Forums allowing you to re-order the structure. From the forums page on your guild site, when you click 'Edit Forums' you are now able to specify what order your Forum Categories and Forum Subcategories are shown in.

Just click the little yellow arrow icons, exactly as you re-order ranks on the Ranks page.
