Howto Enable the Google Map
To enable this feature, go to the Members section of your site and click Admin, then check the "Enable Google Maps" checkbox.
Howto be listed on the Map
To be listed on the map set your Country, City and State in your profile (My Account -> Profile). And if you do not want to be listed, simply leave these fields blank.
So if you're interested in a nice overview of your member's locations, enable the new Google Maps feature on your site! =)
We use: revolver maps (www.revolvermaps.com) so you can see where people are but down to the detail google maps has. Google can have to much detail for showing where someone actually lives. Revolver won't show that much detail and will cover the planet. Just an FYI
So how do you get the map to show up on your home page?
I think its a very nice feature, but i would like to control who can see it. Right new its visible for Guest aswell. I would like to show the map to members but not guest. I dont want anyone in the world to see where i liv and have my address.
Is there a way to make it ONLY for members?
@Mortuss, remove the "Members" view tick from guest permission profiles.
This stops guest viewing the google list, but alas makes all members locked off to them.

Hi Mortuss,
The map only shows information users choose to put in their profiles, so separate permissions for the map for this reason wouldn't be too helpful (since someone can still look at a member's profile to see this info); instead if you want this information hidden, as Law mentions, you would want to remove members view permissions from the guest account type.

Weird when I click on "SITE ADMIN" I just get the SITE SETTINGS none of the options include Google Maps. Site Features has no Google Maps, Navigation has no Google Maps.

Its not in the Site Admin section; it is in the Members section of your Guild Site; go to your guild site, and then the Members section, then click the Admin button there and go to the Settings ;)
