Guild Applications Update

Applicants can view/respond to own application
One of our most requested features is included with this update; you can now allow applicants to view and comment on their own guild application!

This is an optional feature, to enable it check the option in the Settings tab of your Site Admin. Once enabled, applicants will be emailed a special link they can use to view and comment on their own guild application on your guild site, enabling them to participate in the discussion.
Guildapp Email Notifications
You now have the option to be notified by email when a new guild application has been submitted to your guild. By default this is set to true, and you will be emailed providing you have this set and have permissions to view guild applications. You can toggle this setting from the My Account -> Notifications section.

More Reject Messages
A few new reject messages have been added, with new options for roleplay guilds, such as "You do not have enough roleplay experience" and "Your character's storyline does not fit with our guild's storyline".
That's all for this update, next up we hope to have a preview for you guys in a few weeks of some of the changes coming with the theming update =)
The first enhancement is very nice.
I'd love to be able to write a custom reject message, though, if that's possible. Thanks.
Awesome work 8Toes!
Great job :)
Thanks for the comments everyone =)
Goldie, we unfortunately cannot allow a custom reject message as it could be abused for spam, but we try to add as many reject responses as we can to compensate for this; if you feel any are missing let us know and we can likely get more added =)
@Goldie, If you have any particular things you want added just ask 8 Toes, he is very accommodating most times =D
@8 Toes, I had a question about the applicants being able to see and comment on their apps, If i toggle this on will all the past applicants be able to see their application and comments?
Another great update, thank for your continued diligence in making this the best guild host site =D
Hi Mirabella,
Thanks for your comments =)
The way this works is a secure, random string we call a view token is generated when an application is created; that view token is then shown to the applicant when they submit their app and is also emailed to them; for past applicants, they will have not have received this view token, so they will not be able to view their apps, even with this enabled.
If someone wants their past applicants to be able to view their applications, we may be able to support this tho, by making the view token visible for guildapp admins, which you could then share with the applicant...
Thanks for the answer 8T and fopr the great work you're putting all around.
I will let you know if I think of something missing :-)
I'd love it if there were an option to "invite for discussion", meaning normally the applicant doesn't get a notice about comments, but if we feel we need some feedback, we can send him the link
I LOVE seeing more features being put in for RP Guilds. LOVE it. Huge thanks to you for that!
I've still not yet applied this feature to my site as of today. However, I have created a new forum thread asking for feedback on the topic from fellow officers, and existing guildies. Guess we'll see what they say.
That said, I want to thank you with all sincerity for your continued hard work. Trust that it is most definitely much appreciated by us all, and I continue to look forward to the many new and great features still to come.
